Dodgyiti We should rename this thread Wussmeet. 9 BFTP'ers inc me in Hamilton today and not a bike to be heard. You musta had your new earplugs in when they fired up the little 50cc kids trail bike
so any parts bought?...what was it like?
Well we got there, Oh sorry, did I mention that the wife and I actually rode down, unlike some others (sissies) on Saturday night and took up Murray and Trina's offer of a bed and breakky. Awesome place to stay guys, thank you for a fantastic night out with excellent company and for todays efforts with taking us to both the swap meet(no BFTP'ers in sight) and then on to the jmk's to meet up with Dodgyiti and Croc,. so the BFTP made it to another eventful conclusion and I'm sure I'm right in saying it was a successful outing for all involved. Gillian(thats the newest bike riding member of my family, and my wonderful wife) enjoyed a rain "free" ride down to Hammytron. A few quiet ales at the Te Rapa tavern, along with some very fine evening meals and an amazing night cap or two with Murray and Trina our hosts. A great big thank you to both Murray and Trina, was great and I'm very sure that once I've finished with this lot they'll be wanting to do a little road trip that might involve a stay over with you. We rode home just on 12 O'clock and missed all but one itty bitty little shower of rain. Naturally we stopped at the Muddy for lunch , wouldn't have been a southern BFTP ride if we hadn't.
Dodgyiti We should rename this thread Wussmeet. 9 BFTP'ers inc me in Hamilton today and not a bike to be heard but there was a bike in attendance and said bike now has brakes : Great to see you all again and congratulations Jillian on your ride down to Hamilton, I look forward to seeing you at some more rides
Ohhh and we will be having another bike parking in our garage very soon
I don't see the point in going to a swapmeet without the means to take your next 10 years beer money home in bike parts.Having the transportation also guarantees you won't find anything worth taking home. I did see a very nice front end, complete minus brakes, that would have been a perfect fit on the Triumph/Yamaha...but he wanted me to pay for it.The 36mm blue Magnum would be a match for my other one - but then as someone pointed out to me....then I would have to find a bike to fit twin 36mm carbs to.There was a new streettracker seatbase...after years of looking I finally found one,and don't need it. I reckon the autumn swapmeet will be better....
Hey just saw that jmk, what sort o bike then,? aye, come on spill the beans!
