new book available called..NZ Motorcycle Atlas......has rides all over the country.....didn't look inside...but about time or what?

Yeah, I bought one a few years back and it's great if your traveling around the country as the local routes we know pretty well.

yup, it can be indeed "first ever", but it didn't say "new" did it :-() they got you!

I bought one which was put together by Peter Mitchell a few years ago. It is spiral bound which is cool, and covers the whole country with maps along with points of interest, estimated distances and times etc. Never used it . . . .

Yeah, that's the one I bought Max. I have used it as I said- when travelling or planning to travel. We all know our local rides but where to go when your in Westport or New Plymouth- that's when I used it and it does have a good protective plastic cover and fits well in the tank bag pouch. Still got it wet last year on the west coast though... it was $25 and pretty good value as road maps of NZ are that cost anyway.
I just dragged out my copy of Peter Mitchells "SECOND EDITION" New Zealand Motorcycle Atlas, sub title 100Top Rides. Bloody expensive it was for my wife and kids a couple of years ago. Great reading, it is. Yep plastic rain coat and Hema maps everywhere.
