Not that often one of these comes up for sale.

Recession? Stuff it, bid away. It can only go up in value, they were 6-9 grand when I bought mine about 6 years ago and topped out at 18 before the economy fizzled out. Might be the last chance to get a decent one under 20.
The seat is correct for a 77 and they are a bit crap for the pillion, but the aftermarket one like on mine (and Seedy's Mk2) bolts straight on.

Is that simply the 1000 version of yours? Or is there more to it than that? Or are you riding a gold mine?

It may have had 1000cc barrels fitted, you only have to chop a wee bit from the cases to do it. But I expect it is a typo.

If anyone is interested in it, I can help out where required. Every part is avaliable and most pretty cheaply. I have every bit of tech info on a disc and know these bikes inside and out.
They are a very usable daily runner and for a 70's bike the brakes and handling are great.

Great looking bike. Not sure about those cylinders warming ya knees in mid summer though!!!

Hell, I'm almost ready to flog off the 850 and buy it. Nah, just kidding Dodgy.

    Oh Diesel,
You must have missed the memo- GS's don't have resale
You just keep sending your wages to FleaBay and the US Postal Service and keep the invoices hidden from SWMBO and never ever sell the bike.

there are other bikes in the world apart from Guzzi's ( said he with one running beemer and two project ones).
Hmmmm if I sold the SS and the Thunderbird project and the mopeds.......
I'd need to ride one first....

Ha Ha Dodgy. Fleabay's done a bit of a starve from me lately. That Guzzi is a great looking bike, apart from that knee warmer style. I'd be sleeping in the garage permanently if I bought that.

    Yeah Diesel,
It's a vicious cycle, worth it but
You guys are dedicated for sure and I haven't see so many tidy GS's since they were new as the ones around here.

Voli- Anytime mate, just don't wear your puffy suit when you do ride Gina.
    1) It's seriously uncool
    2) Gina still spills her juices and it rots cordura, runs straight off leathers though
    3) See 1)
