    Conti = Ducati
    LaFranconi = Guzzi
    Yes....Ducati never made that mistake again.
    Ducati= World Champions
    Guzzi= in and out of receivership.
    .....owned by a scooter company....

    Email me just the good pic Seedy, I can sort it for you.
    Thanks to you and the better half for a really great day mate, had a ball!
    Not too bad for somebody who was mighty suspicious about group rides

    Guzzi; Mike Hailwood says "Better than my Ducati" 1972 after testing the V7 Sport
    Ducati; Not as good as Guzzi apparently

    Nah, just some sad git who's trying to come to terms with the realisation that his wife, family and friends have all lied to him . . . . . seriously, thanks guys for being there. I didn't have a clue (nothing unusual there!) but it was fun, and I promise I didn't spit too much when i blew out the candles . . . . For those not present, my wife thoughtfully threw a surprise 50th birthday gathering last night following the Raglan ride. She had to do it this way because she knows how averse I am to parties . . . .
    Mrs Gonzales here. Sorry we were not able to come through and celebrate your 50th Mr Headroom. Happy birthday Pleased to hear you had a great time. Look forward to catching up on the next ride

    I don't idolise Mike The Bike, other than the replica helmet, poster, t shirt, biography, picture of me with the 78 TT winner....nothing ....
    apparently he had no mechanical ability, and could not offer any feedback to the guys who do race bike prep....just went out and rode them.
    Guzzi were conned.

    I idolise Mike the Bike, he didn't know nuffin' about mechanitrickery, he went out and WON races. Guzzi made the most out of him in the Italian art of hype. They already had the perfect bike for 1972, it just cost nearly twice what everything else did

    I won't mention bad riding if no one else does....this not blackmail,just personal insurance.....

    What a great ride,a good pace with no one pushing the boundaries - sorry to the GB400,I didn't realise it was only a 400....the corner speeds were great,but I kept running up behind you on exits.Not often the little 650 gets a power advantage.

    I turned off at Tikotiko Rd - it was hugely thick in gravel with road woks,but even on my street tyres the R65 behaved perfectly.I didn't get back up to Nick's place for the surprise....the friend I helped on saturday night with a breakdown on his sons HD dropped in on his way home to drop off the jumper cables I gave them.

    That was an excellent prang by the girl on the Yamaha cruiser - she stayed on and rode it down the bank,and was able to step off at the bottom no problem.A very good outcome from running wide on a left hander.
