I see Transit are proposing/going to start charging motorcycles. $2.00 the same as cars. Trucks pay $4.00 as they are bigger etc..... so you would think that a motocycle would be less than $2.00 no,no,no,no,no...don't be silly.....its the Government we are dealing with. It costs over a $1.00 to collect $2.00 so they can't possibibly charge that. If they do it, how about we find out all the Nat MP's number plates, make up some for 50 odd bikes and ride on thru. or just 50 of the same one....Nick jumps to mind.
Methinks it's a good plan to go through there plateless. Using my MI-5 engineering skills (I've seen every James Bond movie at least twice) I could rig a hinge to the top of my number plate and connect that to a dash mounted bonnet pull and cable. One touch system like in Casino Royal were we had the rotating number plates fitted to the Aston. Dunn dee di dunn dunn, dee dunn di dunn dunn, de dunnnna! Should be a dollar for bikes or remain free

Highly over rated route anyway... especially for bikes. I will happily go the long way on my bike
