stroud had trouble with the manx in the first? race...but came back stong in the second...just got piped in the home straight....
His run on the britten was cool
I can tell you who I did see today....he is a friend of Volts......and likes bling.......
Oh yeah, he was hanging around Motu's bike with his chrome helmet on. I would give the dustbuster a wash Motu, just in case... Volty had his own groupie, she wanted to take a picture of Volty with his bike, me thinks the bike was not the primary subject of the photograph which is all fun until the stalking.
A great day as always.Saw heaps of people I know...but from here only a couple of guys on Italian bikes, and Big Dave and Ixion.Oh,and Mr and Mrs Max.I spent a lot of the day at a friends pit tent (they had beer) Dodgi and Volty walked right past.He was riding a beat up Goldstar,it's his road bike and fitted his Trackmaster tank for the racing....shitty fuel or tank blocked his filter. Lots of interesting bikes...I probably found bikes that were interesting to me only.Like the Sonicweld Trackmaster Triumph, the 4 valve Goldstar,a couple of G9's posing as G45's,the Norton with the alloy barrels, and the 5 speed box with unit Triumph outer covers. So whose going next weekend to Hampton downs?
What the heck was the little extra lever contraption on the left handlebar of the Yamaha for ? Driving me mad not knowing. Did y' grok the Rudges. Coupled brakes in the 1920s. Nothing new under sun
I think it was the noise lever,so it wouldn't shatter your eardrums starting in the pits.Imagine if they didn't pull the lever today...we would all be walking with blood pouring out our ears.Shit that thing was loud!!
decompression lever??
what yamaha had the lever?
Great Day out, good mid day ride to Dodgy Mansions....those Guzzis run good on Mountain Due. I didn't take any pics as I rarely bother looking at them these days....just soak up the atmosphere. I sussed out two 500 Daytonas ...one almost stock and the other well modified. Interrogated two T160 owners about Triumph Tripple ownership. I Had some Ducati Groupies.....the ones who just wanna tell you about their 'round case' ones....yawn....
The Yamaha 125 4 . Unlikely to be a decomp lever on a 4 cylinder 125cc two stroke. And it wasn't as loud as when they started up the TZR750 in the parking area!
My old single pot Honda FT500 (with elec start) had a decompression lever and no kick start
My XR500 wished it had one...well actually i wished it had one.....talk about a kick back!!!!!!!!!
