A word to the wise. I hear through my brother inlaw (in Masterton) that the Castlepoint campground is run by the same sort of tosser control freak (last 2 years) as Herr Klink, and that most of the people who have been leasing long term sites have left. Myles had his caravan and fixed awning there for over 15 years. Place has lost well over half it's caravans. Should be excellent for a day trip though.

No can do on the Paeroa. Was supposed to move a load out to the bush block and pick up Seedy's bike ont he way back. Loaded the ute with a bike and crap to the gunnals and then realised the exhaust is rubbing on the diff and she is sitting too low for my 2 rut driveway, so I am going to throw in the towel with the exhaust (3 patch up jobs and it is very tired and rusty now) and get a new one made up next week, and unload the ute in the meantime... nothing is ever straightforward.
