That's what I love about the older bike makers. They have interesting histories. Not like someone got up one day and said "I think I will start a motorcycle company" and that was it.
Yes, I love it that Guzzi is steeped in history. Volty will probably comment about how their history mainly revolves around going out of business all the time, but that is what makes each bike special, you don't know if it's going to be their last

BMW probably have the most varied history, motorcycles, cars, U Boat motors, Messersmitt Jet fighter motors, and their finest product those stupid scooter things that are fully enclosed....
