Simply put, you can re register you bike at todays 'cheap' rates by filling in a form and applying for up to 15 months. so if your rego expires prior to June 1 you can get March, April and May added on. For those of you with bikes first registerd prior to Jan 1 1970 good news your cheaper. ************************************************** ***************** Welcome to the first ACC Levies Campaign Newsletter of 2010. Just to recap the current situation, the new ACC levies are due to come into effect on the 1st of June 2010. New rates are: Mopeds 50cc and under: $129.24 Motorcycles up to 600cc: $327.70 Motorcycles over 600cc: $426.92. “As part of the motorcycle levy, $30 will now be committed to injury prevention modelled on the successful programme in Victoria, Australia.” View the Press release here. www.bronz.org.nz MR27 If you wish to register your motorcycle for an extra 15 months under the existing rates, get down to the AA, an NZ Post Shop or VTNZ and pick up an MR27 form. This will allow you to register your bike for an extended period and delay the impact of the new levies until September 2011.
