    I think ill try the brillo pad idea first, see what I can get out of that option. Failing that I may chuck them and get a (2nd hand) new set to replace them with. Wonder if theres a general motocycle workshop book someplace, the general things like how the hell forks work and 'water hoses' that actually carrry oil *cacckle* Amateur petrol head status sux because im stupid LOL Cheers for all the help there guys Muchos Gracias.

    Guzzi forks are $450 a set brand new, I don't f*ck around with them for that sort of coin. Done once, done right and gives me piece of mind so I can worry about all the other stuff about to sh*t its's self.
