Bought a ute a couple of years ago.. took it to testing station A (we have 2 here on the same street) And the guy failed it saying the headlights were installed on wrong sides.. meaning, right was on left side, left on right..... So i showed him that the headlights had the labels stamped on them and that they were correctly installed... but no go. adjusted them with his machine. still no go So I took it straight to testing station B down the street, told them what happend. they checked, and pased it..
when getting warrants for boat trailers for Sea Scouts we took two thru at same time (all pre prepared by mechanic) the list was a laugh as things on one trailer were failed and not on the other IE the safety chain, was one item
Two good VTNZ places for old bikes are Papakura and Manukau - Cavendish Drive. Both have an old guy who stil rides and is sensible.
Weather looking ok. Going to do it. East coast is not supposed to get much of the wind but I would get a second opinion on that.
Nice weather, no traffic, good feed. Thanks to Revilo for leading a nice pootling pace through the coastal part. GB Honda's stomping ground Next time cmoore
Great 'ol pootle, I did enjoy having a spin on the GB 400....so nimble.

I couldn't make the run either, (kids birthday). Would have liked to. Hwoever i did manage to go away the weekend before, with some old mates from Nelson. Went thru the Forgotten World Highway, stayed the night at Whangamomona and then round the mountain to Wanganui, home the next day. Had brilliant weather and even learned to lean the VF over a bit further! Nice. (almost makes me feel like keeping it).
