Hey Volti, You been commissioned yet to write the theme for the HB Rally? I'd say you'd have more than a 50/50 chance of getting the job!
I was planing on having the RZ ready for Grantnz to use, not going to happen now, the frame is bent ! only any good in left handers I took the engine out on monday night and took the cylinders off to check what its like, mint in piston and bore, 0.75 over size. looks like has been rebored recently. crank is good too, no side clearence in rods, Powervalves abit worn but have left them open, who needs them , they only smooth out the power lol, and i am using a LC ignition that doesnt have a YPVS controler anyway Put the engine back together and put it in my LC last night, bit of mucking around with a few bits . but a fairly easy change repower. Went for a test ride a few hours ago, goes well , may change to 17 sprocket from the 16. My road LC engine is in the race bike, will take it out after last BRM round on 11th april and give the whole bike a going over winter Its Musical engines in at my place.....................and I didnt weigh the YPVS engine,
I got a couple of spare rz frames. Which model ? Hassle with rego, but
Depends what stamp set you have Ixion....
Technically don't need stamp s et, just a small drill and a pop rivet gun
o! such low skullduggery, mine ears are soiled. How can I ever face the biker world knowing that there are such lowlifes as would consider swapping bits of metal from one bike to another...
So tell me Ratti. How many original parts are on your bike? Be it a tail light bulb or a frame, it is just another part. I hope I don't have to defend that statement in court one day.
Cheers Ixion, no worries with rego, well and truely dead, Its a 83 model, 35G, LCII in UK, Red frame, white and red paint. I got 1 complete bike with a dead CDI and a spare frame and bits and pieces. The bike is matching numbers, build date 12/83 ,35G-001040 and the other one is built 11/83 35G-001014 and have the matching cases for it too, the front end was horrible, had a bent stanchion, leaky fork seals, seized calipers and the steering head bearing were good but adjusted so tight. Fixed all that and rode it thinking it would be better, not bloody much lol. Did the string line trick and to get the wheels in line i had to move the back wheel 1 and a half adjuster slots on one side in swingarm. Will put the good front end in the other frame at some stage and see if it is straight. No rush at the moment. I will get the last BRM round done on my LC and go from there
How do you post pics on here? There is a pic of the RZ at the Classic Club ride last Saturday on the HB rides section and i cant get it on here
Load rthe picture into your albums, then use the URL code next to the photo and copy it, then click on the picture icon in repy window, back space the Http/ part and past in the URL code. Ratti How can I ever face the biker world knowing that there are such lowlifes as would consider swapping bits of metal from one bike to another... Oh dear, I fear it may already be too late. We will track down repeat offenders and confiscate the offending machinery- got a trailer that carrys 8 bikes for my place? We may need an 18 wheel semi for wickle's place... and for Jase.... and the list goes on....
Now all i need to figure out is how to resize it lol
