Sooooooooo I head off the the abode of one Mr Voltaire this arvo with a view to looking at and possibly purchasing his little Honda. Yellow Honda. Very yellow Honda. I was at a disadvantage because, due to family commitments, my wife was in tow. (Now before I go further I have to tell you that throughout this recent period of purchasing motorcycles in various stages of repair she has been a trooper.) But bringing home another little thumper might not be her idea of cricket, 'specially because I baulked at her buying some flash bloody dehydrator and from spending $64 taking a trailer load of her garden clippings to the tip. It could be considered that ol' Bender is standing on thin ice and is courting extreme danger, even the potential for alterations to the supply of marital relations. I would not normally have my wife escort me to look at a bike, but needs must and there we were. She sat in the car with her jaw dropped as we pulled up to a garage with an interesting and eclectic range of bikes inside (she always senses fiscal danger when I go near a place like that). She can see that I am most taken with the little Honda. Very taken. And to throw her off the scent, Mr Voltaire delves into the far reaches of the workshop and hauls out an ancient moped, then proceeds to pedal the thing into smokey, vibrating life making noises that only a very old two-stroke can. The possibility that I might find this machine attractive so appals Mrs Bender that she now believes the Honda might not be so bad after all. As the heading said, cunning as....
Hey! I spent 4 1/2 of my most formative years in the Dockyard That is a cool little bike alright, was remarking to Volty how much I like the front brake and a few other goodies it has.
If the dockyard way anything like the Post Office you would have spent many a taxpayer funded hour in the pub.... That Honda had far too much time and money spent on it by PO ( not Post Office) ...alloy rims..... 12 volt conversion..... powdercoated everything including the tank. Voltaires Garage Sale is going well..... Puch Maxi anyone...?
