Had agreat day out, Good to catch up with Keith and Yorky and family. Nice place to watch the racing in the Stawerts Box,

Might just have to sort out and race my RGV at the next round, Long track 2 day meeting next month

So much for 6 months off racing...............................I should have said 6 months off racing the LC

How did the flash white leathers fit dave?

What's this promise of 6 months off racing Jace?

It's a very dangerous act going to watch race meets. Ya get itchy feet (sorry throttle grips) just watching. Such mental stress, I try to avoid it these days.

i wont..........well probably wont race the LC for 6 months but the RGV is just sitting there looking race track lonely

Will get it out later today and evaluate whats needed to get it ready, running on two cylinders is the 1st job, It has messy wiring and strip connecters every where. The guy I got it off thought it was electrical the miss it had so cut all the plugs off, It actually had dropped a power valve and one carb was only getting halh throttle and the power jet pipes was blanked off one one carb and in to the over flow bottle on the other one

Be good once its sorted, build date 10/89 and its a NZ new model with 34mm carbs. L model VJ21 I think

Sadly, the leathers did not fit Yorky - fat bugger that he is. The re-appearance of the White Knight is still on hold.
BTW: The White Knight suit is like the mask of The Phantom. It is handed on to the next generation to continue the crusade against injustice, tyranny and black leathers.

Jace, there's a 3 minute clip on Youtube of a factory RGV 500 being tuned on a rolling dyno. It's claimed to be pumping out 146 horsees!! The clip shows a close up of the flat slides rising with the rpm and a good view of the needle/main jet atomisation. They weren't running pods or velocity stacks on that one!

I don't know how you could leave one of those things sulking in your garage!!
    White knights on RGV's???

The white leathers of legend will live on....................................

Been in shed this arvo, only after i did 4 hours house stuff 1st tho, Draged the RGV out of the back shed and had a clean up and got RGV right in the surgary bay

. Tank, seat and fairings off, gone thru what is suplus and taped with red insulation tape so i dont get cross eyed with all the crap these late things have on them, checking all connections for CDI, power valve controls ans charging system, Found a crappy connection were the side stand switch has been bridged out, could cause a miss but not only on one cylinder. Have got a wiring diagram now, will do some looking and will figure out what is what and have another go after work tomorro

Will charge battery and disconnect charging system, Have heard the reg/rec shit out and and give some AC current in the system, last thing the CDI needs

New neighbors havnt had a noisey 2 stroke reving from my shed yet, Might say hello to them after work before I make noise

MMMPH !! Only just dont fit. Need to allow room for back protector, O breathing and moving as well
Had another look at the VF750, don't think it's going to be worth owner touching. He only wants to do up to sell. Play my cards right I could have my project bike. Thinking either rebuild as standard or build into road legal flat tracker.
