1987 Honda GB400, done 39,919km. Comfortable, good handling, reliable bike. Cycleworks exhaust, still have original, adjustable Koni shocks and forks have cut down CB750 springs which make a huge difference, the originals are like sponges. WOF expired last week, rego on hold. Needs a new left grip and indicator lens, both of which I have. Sprockets and chain done 500ks ago. Good engine, no camchain rattle or anything. Slight dent in fuel tank. Have oil and filter to give it a service. Comes with spares bike with reg on hold and everything but headlight and switchgear. Motor for it is complete but dismantled, also have a bunch of XR600 bits including a cylinder and pistons, with a bit of work on a lathe you could mill down a piston and make a 500 out of the 400 bottom end. XR600 carb which is mechanical as opposed to the CV carb which should give it a performance boost, you can also fit a pod filter and ditch the airbox. Factory service manual too. Selling to finance an engine rebuild, chambers and rearsets for my X7. Picture in this thread here. $2k for pickup from Wellington City.
Cheap enough, nice bikes those GBs have you got any pics of the X7? Wil sound nice with some some chambers !
U said it jase - great bikes those gb's!!!!
Not except what's on my profile, I've sent the motor up to Wanganui to be professionaly rebuilt and tuned. Yep, I really want that ringdingding! It's been dynoed at 40hp without chambers at the wheel and with RG250 chambers 50. Should be fun
