My Dad sent one of his old BSA handbooks (single and vees 1936 and later) with the spanners, was having flick through and came across this little gem - " TO OBTAIN GOOD TYRE MILEAGE - Always maintain the correct tyre pressures and keep the wheels correctly aligned. Avoid fierce acceleration (on a BSA ?!), violent braking and stunt cornering" Bleedin' hooligans.
all good sage advice.............must have been aimed at all them cafe racers...mods??....back then
