In fact, it persisted down. A quick trip into town saw this little hazard in my path. [IMG][/IMG] Thank God for the trusty Pajero as most of the roads were impassable today. Had the water halfway up the doors but she made it on her emergency mission. Yes folks. I had run out of ciggies.
It was pretty rough, the gorge closed, the Pahiatua track closed, the saddle down to one lane. Looking down towards Pahiatua from the top of the saddle, I have not seen so much water since the big floods in 2004.

No grief at your place Robinm? I took a cruise around the neighbourhood during the worst of it but the locals and their stock were coping so no rescue missions were needed.
I did the 75min commute to Puke and back this morning and it was very very wet. Sunday night I was trying hard to stand up on the ridge frantically grabbing bits of loose roofing tin to prevent potential insurance nightmares with my neighbours.
No dramas at my place, the worst was a very boggy lawn, oh and a very wet and smelly dog!!
