I use my soldering iron to weld plastic.......works great...
What is the problem with your cases Ratti? Post up a pic There are some very high tech new 2 pots fillers that handle hi temp, oil, pressure, and are strong enough to tap threads into available now
You used to be able to get a rod that would let you weld crabs with oxy. They're a zinc alloy not aluminium - well Zeniths and such were anyway. Dunno if you can get it anymore. The problem with welding ally is that it is hot short so you ad heat and add heat and nothing happens then one second later the whole casting turns to a big blob on the floor. I watched the Henrob video , then tried it myself. Yeah, right.
