All right I got the full report tonight. Here is my notes from discussions at the Thursday WABBBT meeting. Big surprise, the recession has bit in. Only 5% of the bikes sold, a few would probably have sold under negotiation afterwards but prices were not up at the level of the November 09 auction. Bidders were pretty wary of the 15% BP and then another 15% GST for sure. Same numbers of people in attendance, and amount of bidders but prices stayed pretty low. Indian and early HD did 'ok' and a few of the racers except the super spunky Benelli which was passed without a bid. Now I had a complete list of end bidding prices but could not be arsed copying the whole lot but here are a few of interest; '53 BMW R25 & s/c $6,250 '60 TR6 $16,000 '61 BSA S/Rocket() USA spec $9,000 '65 BMW R50 $6,500 '69 BSA T-Bolt $11,500 '71 Guzzi Ambassador $7,500 '71 Commando $9,500 '71 Norton Proddie $30,000 '73 X-75 $30,000 '74 JPS Norton $18,000 '36 Ariel Red Hunter $6,500 '49 Ariel Sq4 $12,000 So even with the 15% + 15% the R50, Ambo and Super Rocket would have been good buying- had they met their reserves that is...
