The final Guzzi rally kicks off this weekend at; The Hospital for the Guzzi Insane, 208 Pukeora Scenic Road.
Lock up your livestock and prepare the spill booms, the Guzzisti will be in town
    If you wanna come on any of the rides they leave the hospital;
    Saturday
Lunch ride 11.00 – 1.00pm roughly. To Porangahau Duke of Edinburgh Pub, 40 Km each way.
    Sunday
Lunch/Afternoon ride. To Tui Brewery and Cafe, 90 Km each way.

NZ is too small for the Guzzi rally and this will be the last one, we have run out of places that will have us. Every small town it is held at turns into Hollister all over again
Kinda like the BFTP rallys but add 75% more booze and 57% less sleep

Feel free to show up at the site for one of the rides, all bikes welcome, especially BFTP type bikes.

I will be going this year after Farmer Peter had to cancel and gave me his ticket and accomadation

I have Wickkie and Jase's mobile numbers, will flick you chaps a text when I'm there so keep your phones off for the long weekend is my advice

From what I have seen at rallys with Guzzis...more time is spent looking mournfully at oil escape routes than map routes....
Have a good rally....be sure to enthrall us non Guzziers on your return with tales of exciting malfunctions...

PSo they have them on long weekends for a " get you home day"...

Don't mention my name and you should be ok...........
No really Ypuk is a lovely place, you will be fine, no really it is a lovely place.
They used to have a hill climb up the road to the "Hospital for the Guzzi Insane", should be exciting once there is a nice even coating of oil on the road......

Yep I'm flat out today stuffing tampons into Gina's every orifice because it's always that time of the month with her. Then again I could take the Ambo, she is only using 1 litre per 500 miles now and with the new rack I can take a 4 litre container, actually, better make it a 5 litre just in case.

I'd take the Ambo....much more interesting that all that Mark one, two three........stuff. Marsden Point would be a good place for a Guzzi Rally...oil fresh off the boat.

Aww, I rang the venue and Peter's room, meal and entry has been taken by some other f*cker! The organiser when Peter told him he was not going to make it took it upon himself to give it away to a mate... So I rang the venue again and nothing available and 3 people ahead of me waiting to get in if someone cancels.
It's always over subscribed every year. This year around 80 bikes.
Not sure now if I am going or not, got all 3 daily runners ready to make the trip so I can choose what to take at the last minute. Will phone the venue on Friday morning- if they can get me in, I'm off. If not never mind, I was not planning on going this year anyhoo.
Don't let any of this drama stop you local chaps from joining in on the runs and at least ride out there and check out the bikes, it will be the last time you can get to hear 50+ roudy Guzzis fire up. And see many bikes that only come out of the woodwork for this event.

Thers room at my place if you want. Only 30 mins away on a Middle road. Not a road for a skin full of piss ride tho after a Guzzi day and night out

Could you tent it at the site?

Just as a matter of interest. Why is it the final Guzzi rally? Has the Mental Health Unit finally got all their names and addresses, or have you cornered all the working spares available?

Might see you there Dodgi, at the Porangahau pub.

Jase, Grant and a few of his mates are going out there too same time for a look, think I'll go with them. Get in touch with Grant, he'll let you know where we're meeting etc.

Got all my gear out, then fell crook and realised it would'nt be in my best interest to ride.
    Might try tommorrow.
Have'nt heard from any of them.
