Did you get the PM with my address details Dave?
Yep. I can get rim no prob, so will pop round boxing day on way back from Wanganui. Be tea time-ish. PM how much you want for it and if you're not in I can leave money.
Yorky! He has since asked about some of the spare wheels I have lurking in the shed..not a problem there, but he aint getting either of the spare front ends. I have this theory that if i have lots of spare stuff I will never need it.

All sorted with wheel, getting hub from Bonez, rim from UK (even with postage, about $60 cheaper than here) get spokes made by Hamco and build myself. Then repeat process for front wheel probably At some stage in new year (soon as funds allow ! ), I'll be after a front end.
what brand of rim are you getting? undrilled?
15 x 5.5 Akront Alloy rim (www.central-wheel.co.uk) Getting drilled to suit Yam AG200 rim. Plenty of sizes available but settled on 15" 'cause the tyres have a deeper sidewall and it'll give a bit of cushioning for the rigid frame.
So if you tell them what hub you're using do they drill to suit before they send it?
Yep, that's it. The rims come from the factory pre-dimpled to take a certain number of spokes (in this case 36) so providing the rim and hub have same number of spokes it's just a matter of getting rims drilled to correct angle. If there are any issues getting it done over there, I can just take rim and hub to Hamco in New Plymouth and they will do it. It's just cheaper to get done in England, they include drilling in the price whereas it's another charge here and it's already dearer.
Good to meet you Dave. Glad the hub can be put to good use. Hope you and your family had an uneventfull trip home.
