I'm instructing at another ART day at Puke on the 16th with the OW01. But as it hasn't been ridden for a while and it still needs the handling sorted a bit better (been an 8 year project!), I'm looking at dragging my TZ750 out as well and torturing some hydro carbons by making them in to heat, light and smoke! So if you ar around, and want to hear some real stroker noise, come out for a look!
That looks cool, just wondering how many times you would change leathers and helmet at a meet...? One day I'd like to do a track day at Puke....when I get the R90 Toaster finished.....you could be the BFTP coach.
WOW the bike looks awesome...If i am marshalling that day i will look out for ya.
Voltaire: I used to have two full sets of gear - very handy when riding on both sides of the Tasman on successive weekends! Those photos were taken on different events. a year or so apart..... After various "events" I'm back to one helmet and one set of boots so I have to carry those to Aussie after the ride day to race at Phillip Island the following weekend. Get your bike finished and come on down - a number of the instructors all ride or race older bikes as well. Just starting it up before hand in the pits is enough to get more than a little excited....the noise and thought alone can lift the heart rate 20+ beats! Cmoore. Come find me in the pits and let me know what corner you are on. If it's hairpin you may see a bit of "air". If it's Castrol you'll get the full aural effect as I'm banging gears down the back!
malcy/cmoore Put in my form today, hopefully I will get in... if not I will ride up for the day and say hi after all, it is only local for me. Might be on the only bike with fishtails...or then again... I might not
Forgot to say folks - for those coming to the ART day, I'll be on reception duty directing traffic as you come across the circuit. I usually instruct in Group 2 and will be riding this for instructing purposes.
MARSHALLING ON ART DAYS is full on..........they keep the groups going one after the other.....more time on the track for the riders...less time between for the marshalls........we have to set up the bales in the morning and then untie them at the end...by then everyone is gone........
