    Well after two days of commuting I was pleased to get the SS running again as you don't have to listen and worry so much....
    In a week I had lost a sidecover, found the oil tank only had one mount left, the speedo cable broke......
    I pulled off the Quickly Detachable Wheel.....found the cush drive rubbers rock solid and spent another hour trying to get the wheel back on.....
    My new to me Britool AF spanners arrived today....oh the joy of fractions....2/8, 6/16, 4/4....great stuff.
    Made up a list of things to replace as the bike had been restored 20 years ago and lots of the rubber bits look a bit perished.
    Getting a new 'flooded cell ' battery tomorrow.....as opposed to a 'gel cell' it has. electrical system is charging ok, but Mr Gel cell no like Brit Bikes I'm told.
