Who are we????

I think it is to raise cause awareness with the general public by a convoy of bikes. It gets peoples attention.

Used to get peoples(News media's) attention.Not even a mention this year.
Ixion, tis I that you so rudely called "not you dude, that dude" I can't fault any of what you have said in reply, it was not well run.My main gripe, if it was that even , was the pitiful wailing and moaning about the Ulysses(OK, not actually said) organisation and lack of ride structure.They tried, for a good cause.
You were there, I was there, quite a few were there,I'll be back next time even if it's only to give them my money after the ride.
Hope the peanut munchers and the stall sellers haven't fallen off their perch, now that the debate is out in the open , te he he.

Motorcycling is is seen as a leisure activity by the public...like bowls and golf. The ACC levies and recession have seen bike prices plummet. I for one have no intention of buying a bike less then 40 years old again....the end is neigh....

I went to the Telstra ACC meet and the carry on leaving the carpark, at the traffic lights and onto and up the motorway would have the average car owner thinking " what a bunch of noddies...Nick is right"

Who/what is 'Blast From The Past ?

We are a bunch of individuals who have a common interest, namely riding and sharing tales about our pre 90's motorcycles.

We ride once a month. Our rides take 3 - 5 hours including stops and are generally held rain or shine. (But not charity rides)

Back on topic!!! (with amendment!!)

Given that the last ride I can remember was a most enjoyable ride to the Nike Cafe for dinner, when about 10 of us went are there any plans on a ride before daylight savings shortens our evenings again on the 3rd of April???

Whose doing the Christchurch earthquake appeal ride on Saturday to Muddy Waters. Over 100 bikes registered on KB for it!
