[QUOTE]Why is no-one interested in specials here? Back home it's a real boom part of the scene but you never really see anything here. /QUOTE]

Probably the same as one of the reasons you came here - less people. That means less people to make one offs for.The was a bigger demand for glass panels for cars many years ago, when cars rusted and panels weren't structural components. Now the car scene is all about Boi Racers, and the bike scene pretty limited. If you priced your labour into a mold,I doubt you'd ever recover it.

I've been having a browse around various sites and nothing at all for early Jap stuff, bit of classic racing stuff, Beemers and few LC / TZ bits and that's about it and the prices once converted into $NZ aren't cheap. I do have the advantage that because the bike business is only part time and this would only be part of the business, I can afford to price accordingly so should be able to compete on price.
I notice that some of the stuff is basically straight out of the mould, you have to sand, tidy up and drill the holes so the customer is being charged for all the expensive part of the process and then having to do that himself. It's same as painting, the labour is in the prep (mould making) and finishing the actual fibre glassing is a minor part of the equation.
Anyway,I'm going to produce a couple of bits and see what happens. What's life without a bit of excitement?
