Vintages are matchbox Models of Yesteryear. Red wonderwhapper is Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons by Dinky. Grey Aston Martin BD6, Bond, James Bond is a Corgi. One Kombi is Matchbox, the other is a fun-ho. London Taxi besmirched by a schooolboy paint brush in grey is Matchbox and that red deTomaso Pantera (not sure about that one) is also Matchbox. London bus by Matchbox.

    I think.

Geez they sure breed big maggots out there in Niake. Must've left a piece of meat somewhere it ought'nt be.

Used to have a big box of Matchbox toys. When I was a lad my mother worked at the Tonka factory, and so had some of those too - she used to custom make some by mismatching parts, bet they would be worth a bit now. They used to make other toys too,so plenty of toys around our house. After Tonka she worked at the place that made Toro blocks - stuff used to fall into her bag all the time,so lots of Toro to use too.I'm not one for putting stuff up on a shelf to look at,so after 4 kids the Tonka stuff is rusty junk, and the matchbox cars scratched and mangled. They did their job.

After the toy factories my mother worked in production engineering shops, operating capstan and CNC lathes.Mum always had the perfect job for me.
