Bought a 1969 Beetle last October with the intention of fixing it up and teaching some mechanical stuff to oldest Son. So far have done the motor. Then the Bodywork...... Started off with this last October. Picked up a set of guards of TM...but found some welding to do when they were removed.... but made some progress. Today found some primer and old paint from previous beetle project to do some spraypaint lessons...even got to try out the gravity gun I bought 3 years ago... Plan now is to get some touch up paint for the kombi which is red and white and make the beetle two tone. I got motivated to do a bit of painting as I want to push it outside to play with the bikes... My mate turned up with a mint 89 Holden Vectra this morning....$1500 .....makes me wonder why I bother.....the missus is excited about reliving her youth...... no A/C, no Stereo, no heater, no power...... Son is now getting motivated to do the Road Code....its got thicker in the last 30 years....
And then drive it down to Hammytown to let me have a drive, I miss my dubbie Mrs JMK
