First wife tossed a heap out, very anti bikes
My early days started with 2-smoke dirt bikes. How many lardy BFTP era dirt bikes does it take to blow out the rear tire of a 'one tonner'? We were all about 16-20yrs old and look at the communal toys! V8's, Off Roader, dirtbikes, kegs, chicks.. ahh the good old days This is the only picture I have of my first road bike, customiser from day one me! Check out the 70's paint job, I think there was 'lace' work too..remember that? Proud of my Zbars and ali tail piece courtesy of my time at HMNZ Dockyard and our glorious taxpayers Think I was 16 or 17 and the bike was a 350 Suzi 2-smoke, my one and only 2-smoke road bike. Now I'm real proud of this; Doing cruel and vicious things to BMW's for over 2 decades Not that I used to fit the BMW Owner's Club mould back then... Probably do now though I think I have managed to erase the memory of this, still have the jacket though
Max- See the R90S was not ORANGE! The only reason the gearbox you have of mine is orange is about 20 years and a spray bomb of engine enamel It was red to match the Marzocchis! Poor lad that I was, all I wanted was a Mk1 and no matter how much Italian red I put on my $1200 R90S..it was not the same
I like the BMW powered bench...and the pic of you coming out of the " $50 for 3 minutes" tent.
Here's my Dad on his H1-D at meremere in 78 Mum and Dad's bikes in 1979, both sold when I came along a year later. Tough break! Mum was 17, Dad 18.
Nice smoker collection there all right.
Me on the R75/5 Watsonian GP near the Czech border in about 1991. It was so cold at one point in East Germany I had to be tow started by a Trabby and I had ice inside my helmet. To this day my hands get sore when they get cold.
