I've got a genuine BMW analogue clock for my genuine BMW....in my BMW fairing I don't use.
Did your 65 come with a fairing Motu?
Yes,one of those bikini things. When I took it off all the sports bikes stopped waving at me - it's worth not having it just for that.
You don't need a fairing if you oly do 100 kmph...... I got a wave today...from the driver of the diesel delivery truck..... I'm thinking of bar end mirrors next...must phone AMPS and see if they can book my bike in....
My old 65 had a bikini fairing, I used to take it off, put it on, take it off...etc I kinda liked both looks and could never decide what I really liked. I don't think I ever felt any camaraderie with sports bikes, certainly had nothing in common! When I got a wave it was always from REAL bikers, at least I thought so.
I think the camaraderie with bikers is mostly imaginary. I wave when I am on the open road but Harleys rarely return ...unless they are alone and their perceived cool mates can't see them..... sports bikes all look the same and they don't wave to naked bikes......its all a bit silly really. The one I used to find amusing in Europe was the overtaking foot wave.....like ...who cares.... Especially when you break down and the only one to stop and help is a Volvo towing a caravan.... Then you get the classic bikers who think coz they do work on them they are something special..... The BFTP riders are a good lot....apparently they ride once a month...
Ride? You mean BFTP bike owners actually ride. Heaven forbit, do the bikes stay together long enough for a days outing?
I ride every day to/from work. Every month I think about riding....
I'm lucky if I ride once a year
Rode all day yesterday. Had a blast & seriously knackered today - always a good sign.
Took the Retro Rocket out for a spin to the Glen Eden market with the Missus on the back....seat got the vote of approval. Only had to bring phone, dosh and reading glasses.......no tools needed.
