that is fucking amazing psy......that must have been 300+ kms?........thats why i didn't take the XS....I spend most of the ride looking for the next bowser....my XJR hits reserve at 220k religously....mind you...I havn't yet found out how much is in reserve....I will save that pleasure for a cold wet winters night..... yeaH GREAT RIDE TODAY DODGY, nice to see so many different bikes, thanks for organising it and for caring that everyone made it....for future reference when i show you two fingers as i ride by that means two more riders to come......not whatever you thought it meant.....
Oooh... I note that the Coal Burner has been promoted to the "Coal Burner" The quote marks must be standing for a Minter ! or what ?
290km on my odo - a longer ride than I thought. I haven't been up there since the lighthouse went up (the 2nd time, not the first time it was put there) and have forgotten the road completely. I went a little out of Waiuku to see my aunty and cousin after the ride - and on the way home Dodgy and Pete pulled out of a service station in Puke behind me, spot on timing.
Thanks for orginising the ride Dodgyiti had a awesome time around the nice tight windy roads mate. was also cool to finally meet the BFTP guys, thanks for making me feel welcome Hay Dodgyiti lm sorry l didnt catch you on sunday at the races, l was hoping to get a sticket but l might need to wait now, my bike spat me off 160 odd kms from home brakeing my wrist in the prosess l dont know how much damage was done to the bike but a local guy is bringing it back to Chch for me next weekend.
Now BEAMER89 that is terrible news, hope you are otherwise OK and that the bike appears with as little damage as you seem to have sustained. Long way for a ride but hey who the heck am I to comment? te he he. Look forward to the day we can all get together somewhere more central in the not too distant future.
hey beamer... what?? - another UN - STICKET'ed member... PM us your postal address and i'll make sure some stickets go your way
I could do with a sticket for the BMW.....
i think we need to have one specially for race bikes
PM me and be patient and stickets will come your way Glad you guys enjoyed the run, nice to have some low volume traffic roads so close to Auckland. We only had to overtake 5 cars in 260kms. Grahame, sorry to hear you had a spill. Peter and I were marveling at how well the GS went on the back roads... seems like you found the limit then
seems like you found the limit then yeah bud the limit seams to be very low l did around 2000kms and came to grief going about 35km/h
shame that Grahame, hope you mend quickly.
