I could make that time ice, have to check first as I may be taking car/trailer/bike/dog to Auckland on the way. Not sure yet.. it's out of my hands.
I will be popping into Kohanga Nurseries, Kaiwaka on the way up as they will not be open Sunday. Only for 5mins.

1100km all up for me, and 395km on the trip home - on one tank ! I normally go to reserve at around 260km hooning around Waikato roads, I was getting worried and ready to pull into Mercer for fuel when it went onto reserve at 360km - so it can do easily over 400km to a tank if used on the open road. Only 3 brave soles headed North - no break downs, no hissy fits, just clocking up kms on great, and not so great roads. This was my first weekend away in ages, and my first tenting trip in eons - I was only able to cope with roughing it by stealing a mattress and pillow from Dodgies cabin. You need a week or more to see Northland, but that was a great weekend.

Yes, we had a nice place to stay that was so quiet I had a nanna nap on the sat arvo- how many holiday parks quiet enough can you get away with that?
From the ferry to Helena Bay to Whangarei was wicked
Good stuff. I feel like my summer riding is complete with one albit short trip away.
