Geez Kiwi that's bloody bad luck.
Well fellas me an the water pipe had a falling out, I stood on it and it didn't move, but as i was already on uneven ground it was enough to make me lose balance and start falling to my right and forwards.
As there was a complete wall or sarking boards newly ripped from an internal wall lying there with many 3 and longer inch nails sticking out of it I opted to go to my left and uphill.
The body tried hard but gravity and inertia won out and I ended up on the sarking .
Managed to avoid most of the nails but got puncture wounds from a few as well as discovering that I could not get up or put any weight on my left leg.
Called an ambo and stayed put for half an hour, got carted off to Waikato Hospital and the rest as they say is history. Spent a whole week in ward 16 room 8 with a bunch of like injured souls who were bloody good buggers.
Got operated on on Thursday last week and got out on Monday last.
Should make a complete recovery and can't wait to get back on the old girl.
Should also make it to Taumaranui riding, least that's the plan.

Those wet galv pipes are very slippery. Good to hear you will be ok for the Taumaranui re-union.

Geez Kiwi, watching sport can be hazardous to your health.

hells teeth kiwi....we will need a trike thread at this rate...good luck with the hip...i hate watching those shows where you see them using a battery drill and hammer to force stuff into the leg bone...but im sure you will be fine....

sounds like more of a falling in there caseye....and i have no doubt that after riding the coal burner back to the big smoke that there are some converts out there...somewhere....

as for me....four more fucking days in this stupid fucking cast....sick to death of it......so is the missus...apparently when im sleeping the cast keeping smacking her in the head...no idea how that happens.....

LOL Me neither cmoore, her head is usually right up there next to mine so I'm damned if I can explain it either.
    A Trike thread aye, hummmm,Na.
Not long cmoore, I've got a Surgeons appointment in the Tron tomorrow then at least another 4 weeks locked in full extension then more brace time, the big fella is the only one who knows how long this is going to take.
Doing my best to follow instructions, but you ALL know how that goes.

Good luck with it all mark...for some reason legs/feet get taken for granted.....when you cant use one it is such a pain...I have my cast off but am struggling to walk...especially as the skin under the foot all fell off...rotton...nice.

Yes under foot is becoming rather dry, otherwise though the pain is diminishing and the swelling is slowly going down, I know this because the brace keeps slipping down me leg.
At Home ALL DAY EVERYDAY at the moment guys so if ya feel inclined there'll be a cuppa here if needed.
cmoore you take it easy getting that walking right mate, too easy to slip and stuff things up again mate, be careful, K.

yeah thanks, getting better at it, lots of pain when walking but luckily im a big tough biker and can handle it.....it was funny really i thought while the cast was on that the swelling had gone down so much i thought it wa fine but when the cast came off.....bloody hell....swollen still...apparently though that is lack of movement and as i keep pushing the walking it is starting to come back into shape....better news is the insurance has paid out....got all my money back for the bike....
