Got spacers made up for front wheel and seat pattern finished. Need some rollers for fibreglassing, they start at around $27 up to $40+ here, found a place in England about $8-10.
Still waiting for crank back, going to pick up barrell next weekend then I can blast and spray cases. Just need to get the broken bolt out.

Thought it was about time I did an update on the Postie.
Engine is ready to get cases painted. I've just bolted bottom case back into frame with gearbox output shaft sat in so I can put chain on and sort out back wheel alignment.
Crank is good to go, barrels need rebore which as eaten the budget to get crank lightened. Piston kit is $640 from England ($200 cheaper than here!!) Anyone know anywhere I can get Wiseco pistons (or big bore kit) from?
Seat pattern is all ready to make mould.
Got back brake caliper apart this afternoon to paint, just needs new pistons.

Yep, thought if I could get something around 580 - 90. Can't find anybody that does them though, so looks like it'll just be standard + .5 rebore. Going to have my hands full with ZXR 400's as it is. Just have to have some demon brakes

ZRX's are pre 89. You will be in pre 82?

Separate classes in the same race ;-) It will be LC 350's you will have to watch out for

I was thinking more of the winter series where evryone is lumped into pre 89 without a seperate championship. I'm THINKING of sponsoring a seperate pre 82 Junior champs next year, do you think that would attract a few more out of the woodwork ? What are pre 82 numbers like with Pacific Club ?

    AAAAHHHH!!!! THAT'S BETTER.
Had enough British Engineering for 1 day, have a bit of r n r on the Postie. Got front tank mount made up, just started bending up back one. $10 tank then $25 for 3 mounting rubbers. Good job I didn't buy the bolt as well.

Got the petrol tank mounted and the tiny petrol tap replaced with the GS tap. I had to make an adaptor plate 'cause the mounting holes didn't line up and brazed it onto the tank.
Spent today cleaning and painting the engine. Nothing flashy but it's tidied it up.
I'm off work for most of next week so hopefully I can get bottom half of motor rebuilt and back in frame.

BUGGER !! Just finished blasting front wheel to take to powder coaters and discovered a dirty great crack. Had the rim straightened (small flat spot) and not sure if it's from that. So THAT'S in the bin.
I was going to change at some stage for a decent 18" anyway, just hadn't budgeted for it this soon.
So, I'm now in market for either a pair or just front wheel in 17 or 18".
Hopefully I can find something that will drop straight in.Otherwise Imight have to rob the Bandit wheels off the road bike.
I'm going to get the back wheel crack tested before I use that.

I now have for sale - Front Sports demon 19" any sensible offer otherwise it's on trade me at the weekend. Brand new, never used.

More progress, got brake calipers and mounting brackets back from powder coaters all luverly matt black. Got cam chain on order so soon as that arrives I can get bottom end built up. Eventually got seat mould made.
Deadline for getting the thing running is October, Postie Club as a meeting at Manfield in November.
