Hey all. Just brought a 2008 DR650 & looking at heading out after 12months with no bike. Hopefully there's a few adventure rides looming. Still remember Lees Valley in the dark.
Anyone got any idea of the price of a windscreen for the DR? Also could be looking at a bigger tank. Also the bike has road slicks at the moment. The front wheel isn't too happy on shingle. Any suggestions regarding a good front & rear tyre combination for on / off road riding.

looking forward to winter and I can open all those Acewell goodies and modding the cbr 600 tank to fit Then roll on the summer and sorebum because of the extra distance the cbr tank provides
I work shift work, have been on KB for a while but never found this thread. I'm keen for a ride. One in every 3 weekends off makes it difficult.
If you go back through the posts, you will most likely notice nobody uses this thread. You are not likely to find a group to ride with through this thread. There are a number of motorcycle social clubs and motorcycle clubs in Christchurch. They would be your best bet.
Or just start a thread in the Meetings and Events Forum (which is what it's for) to set up a ride. Christchurch guys go regularly out on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons at the moment but if you want to ride on a Saturday or something at a specific time make a thread of your own and see what happens. No guarantees but you won't get any results if you don't try.
Oh yea, Loan Rider is correct in that no one sets anything up in this 'Group discussion' area. Same with the GoPro Group, it died off as soon as it was set up too.
Once I get my bike up and running I"d be keen on going for the odd weekend or evening ride also. Yes I see noone uses this thread but maybe we should lol
Hey I'm Angel and a newbee to this site. I fly into Christchurch November 6th and am looking to buy (or borrow) a motorcycle right away. I'll be in NZ for atleast 7 months and plan on selling the bike when I leave. Any thoughts? Cheers!
