well I have the engine now a NX 650 that will apparently bolt in quite easily I will let you all know how it goes I now spring is here already but better late than never

kick but the 400 electric start bolts on to the engine I also got the carb with the engine might get the CDI as a just in case

i will do the dyno run once complete to see the real difference already have done it with current engine before and after custom chambers exhaust was put on
at the current price on trade me of $5600 for a GB500 soon they will be to expensive to do silly stuff like me
Well with the help of Voltaire we sorted out the gear shift so the pattern stayed the same need to get it jetted now as it is running very lean have to have the choke out all the time any one know of a good reasonable dyno tuning shop as I think I should do it properly but until I will go buy the seat of me pants tuning

I was still getting poping when I opened it up and then closed the throttle under hard acceleration under mild acceleration it was fine tried jets etc looked for exhaust leaks found a bit on the connection from the header pipes to muffler so I looked at bit further and found the Exhaust gaskets the copper ones where not quite fitting the new headers time to find some new ones
