They are saying on the main forum its not really for bikes due to the trees...more a leave the office take your plane to QTown give the Aston a run and back to Ponsonby for dinner.....sort of place. But hey nice place.
Someone has been to Waiheke Island - I see a pear shaped dirt oval, a sweeper and a hairpin. Forget the knee down bullshit, I'd like to get my arse out on that dirt track.
I see you now have one less BMW John ... congrats.
yes, one less tank to feed...
Two weeks later...... The R90 has new BT45's, the preferred tyre of BMW racers  and new front brake pads. After being used at the track rode it to work last week and proved to be an adequate if not a bit klunky commuter. Today went on a ride with Trustme and Trusther along with Simon ( his real name) on his James Bond BMW, the rocket launcher has been removed. The BMW proved to be an adequate scratcher other than the past best by date shocks and afore mentioned brakes.....duel ATE's would be slightly better.... Probably the most comfortable bike I have owned and quite happy blasting along at 100kmph +- 4kmph as it is in traffic. Seems to attract interest when ever parked up, even from the man at the gas station " BMW.....900cc" he said...." wow your good" Steering bearings are stuffed and a semi disassemble and grease could not cure them.....on the to do list. The R65 has been purchased and awaits its new owner. The XR 400 has also gone much to the dismay of eldest Son who has visions of riding it around on his new learners licence...... Scooter has also left the building after a fun 12 months and 4000 kms of trouble free motoring, with the only costs being an air filter, oil filter, and a tyre. The R100 RT is ready for a WOF, fitted a good tyre and a battery Hobbyhorse gave me as well as a speedo cable. took it for a ride yesterday and it sure has some get up and go for a big looking bike....and a clock.
The rocket launcher is still there. I need it for when the drum brakes don't really cut the mustard and I need to remove whatever it is I am about to run into.
