My family & I are moving to Australia & taking the Ducati with me isn't an option due to all the red tape. If anyones interested in purchasing my 1989 Ducati 900ss, let me know. It's in good running order with 25,000k's on it (I believe this to be genuine). It has a current WOF & I'll put more rego on it if need be. I am happy to negotiate, make an offer. Included with the bike are spare fairings, CDI, etc I can be contacted via email (bcwhitehead@hotmail.com), otherwise, wait till it's on trademe in a few days...
will sell today for $3500, otherwise it's on trademe tonight $1 reserve.
My shed is full..... all the best in Aussie. If your not in a desperate hurry to sell I find week one take good pics, great description, highish reserve and +500 Buy it Now. You can always drop. I look at Belt drive Dukes and other than the Paso ( yuk) they don't sell for much under 5k and yours is probably starting to get classic appeal as an early one. my tuppence worth.
Rats! We were just getting to know you and you are brain draining us.
The Ducati has been sold and is headed for wellington, the buyer has had 2 of these before, so it looks like it's going to a good home. It's been an experience owning it. I used to think of it as an adventure bike, as you were never quite sure how it was going to behave & it certainly couldn't be described as boring as a result. It's likely the next bike will be smaller, lighter & more pragmatic.
Really sad to hear that rubbers, we'll miss you over this side of the ditch you know. Pleased that the new guy has had one or two before and should know how to treat them.
new guy could join the Welly branch
wonder if tis anyone I know?
