"The person behind is always at fault." Putting on my professional hat, I was thinking that, but didn't want to rub salt in! And as Max says, at least everyone else enjoyed the moment

Thanks Diggers for making it happen. Fogging up was a little bit of a problem but the weather played its part & stayed nice & dry all the way home. For the record I had the only japer on the day.... I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing but I know I enjoyed the ride. Love riding on a nice clear crisp winters day.

    25th Annual Taupo to Napier
    MAIL RUN
    Saturday 15th March 2014

The HBCMC would like to invite all motorcyclists out there with girder fork bikes to participate in the 25th running of the Mail Run.
The Mail Run is the commemoration of the motorbikes that used to carry mail from Taupo to Napier. The event starts in Taupo on the Saturday morning and finishes in Napier with a static display, an evening get-together and meal to round out the day.
As the bikes first used to carry the mail were of the girder fork bike era – we are trying to get as many bikes of that type on the run as possible.
Early intention to attend this event would be much appreciated to assist with organization of this special event. All enquiries to Jim Lord:-

I've got the drum brakes but fitting girders to the BMW would be stretching things a bit far. My '36 BMW had tele forks but that is now with BMW.
