Phil Scot the original owner of Motomail and later working at Cycletreads has opened a new shop in Kingsland. http://www.techmoto.co.nz/home/about.aspx I wish him well, but I can't help thinking the days of Bricks and Mortar shops that sell stuff as opposed to stuff and service are numbered.
I hope he does well and is supported by the biking community.
I sincerely hope it works out better than his Moto Morini , Newton Rd foray
At least they are on Facebook and Twitter - I won't deal with any business that hasn't got a social media presence these days. And essential in Kingsland now - I wonder what the Tulongalofa family think about the New Kingsland....probably how they felt about Ponsonby in the '80's.
Is that why you have not bought any nuclear control systems, Near Infrared gauges or power transformer monitors from me yet?
supported by the biking community. They only drive mice these days. I just bought some copper head gaskets on Ebay, could have gone to Penrose but easier with mousey, and no grumpy old Scotsmen to deal with. I had a look at the site, pretty generic stuff......
I've seen the shop the other day just by chance from the road and didn't even think about checking it out... short of going to a shop for a test ride when buying a new bike, everything else is much closer and easier with the afore-mentioned "mouse"
He lists some good stuff. Haven't seen a screw up nipple in a long time. Lots of good special tools too, though I'll probably stick with the Bodger and Bashit Universal tool. He has chrome bars , too.
