I thought you were old skool, pick up phone and ring and shit....
Sent the /5 headlight bucket away for panel repairs. Not that I can ride with a moon boot anyway.
The quick R90s refresh has been going for over a year........ pulled off the front end yesterday and the steering bearings are shot, the forks contain 500ml of splooge and the rubber bump stops are perished. Race bike needs the rear drive put back together...as it seems to have come away from the wheel
Nice bike Volty that's a unique shelving unit you have in the back ground of photo one mate,
We pulled off to the side of the road in the Lewis Pass decades ago to celebrate its first time around the clock. How many other odometer circumnavigations has it done now?
Yes, VW utes make good shelves. Its done 160 000 kms, I heard the clock caught fire, some of the wiring reflects this. Getting the steering bearings out was fun....not
if you blast a little spot of weld with ya mig three or four places round the races they shrink and will be easier to get out.
Hmmm where were you at 8:00 this morning All done and waiting for paint to dry.....might go for spin.
Got this off the original owner of the R90s, taken in Nov 1974. Gist of the article is , who would spend $5000 on a motorcycle. Where is Dinka now???
In 1974 I didn't know there were bikes that expensive, or people with enough money to buy one. A Sportster was $3500, a lot of money to be exclusive, and a friend bought the Hurricane from Shafts for $2500. Light years from my existence.
I quite like this one although it look a bit "tail down" to me and the small tank would piss me off though http://thebikeshed.cc/2015/05/28/dust-motorcycles/
You will need " the look" to go with it. Where do these get their ideas...Pintrest...the site for the unimaginative
This would be more my look
Dave Emde racing one of San Jose BMW R90S racing bikes, post Butler & Smith era
I've still got the ex racing rocker covers on my BMW from their next years race bike. I went to the San Jose sale. They were nicely chamfered at the bottoms. I bought my Luftmeister fairing there as well.
