A ride and coffee would work.
Goodness me. This is a revolution of sorts! I'd have to arrive last and ride at the back seeing as I currently have a 99 CB1300. That R65 went for $3100, well outside my budget. And Volty's too. Didn't think it would get near that sort of money, needing a revinning etc.
Especially considering the cost of OEM BMW indicators. . . . . . ☺
Ride and coffee sounds good, maybe for the 27th or 28th?
Too soon for me, sorry. I'm committed for the next few weekends.
I must have checked the forum at a very peculiar time... - a proposed RIDE??? I'd be keen
I've recently acquired this: https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Lis...?id=1383264753 Hard to gauge the value. Herr Voltmeister: you have previous experience with a similar model. Is it a realistic price?
The start price of that 550 is a bit low (In my opinion) but I think I am getting accustomed to seeing astronomical asking prices these days. It looks very tidy and is mostly complete so I would expect to see bidding get over the 4000 mark no trouble. Another option is to hacksaw bits off, put on cheap bar-end mirrors then chuck on a skinny brown seat and pipe wrap. If you do that then the starting price goes to $6500...
I must be old school, like you Dadpole. I prefer the classic stock look compared to the "cafe everything old crowd"
I am so old school you would not believe it. I live in an old school...
Thats definitely taking "old school" to extremes.
In case the 550 does not sell, here is one variation you could copy. https://bn.craigslist.org/mcy/d/hond...239970873.html
I think I prefer the Guzzi in photo 5. The seat looks a little hard too.
