I'm still keen on building a frame (that dream will never rest) ever since I had my original real bucket:
http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/al...d=218481<br /> Which you could pickup and put on the trailer...
(destroyed this one in wellington in late 90s, on the corner before you turn onto the pit straight; three bike pile up; ripping the frame in half at the swingarm...).

I've done a lot of googling for images and others builds; it seems that in Europe there is a strong minimono / supermono class based around big fourstroke singles in frame with similar dimensions as a RS125/tz125 (bucket size). There are similar bikes in NZ namely Easton's Tigcraft 450.

But here are some other interesting projects:

http://mbducati.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html (an entire build of a super mono)

http://bottpower.com/eng/ (A homemade Moto2 bike and some cool electronics yumyum)

http://felkinsr.smugmug.com/Motorcycles (I had too, I loved watching Robert Holden racing the original at Wanganui; and had a massive poster of it next to the Britten).
http://www.ducati-superbikes.com/for...ad.php?t=19976 (the forum to go with the build)...

(uni program for 125 development in Spain, how cool is this; they get given motor & wheels and told to go for it; maybe my Spanish sucks)

(posted so many times its not funny, but as you go through the pages it shows a frame jig design).

I've got access to a lathe, welder (and a person who can weld) and a pipe bender; who into making a frame/s over christmas/new year ??? based on a FXR dia's but designed around a Lonchin..?
I've got a couple of U beams in the shed and could replicate the fore mentioned frame jig.
Even if it is made from steel tube it will still be lighter than the standard FXR frame (using the HonTig design)....
the biggest issue is the swingarm and the headset. But I'm sure this can be sorted out.
