    The South will rise again

As we managed to repel the damn Nth Islanders back to their respective snakepits I feel that we will have to at some stage foray up & disrespect their tracks, culverts & sheep.

I'm thinking about Sept/ Oct after it warms up a bit & the days are a bit longer. Anyone else thinking along the same lines? If we do the long weekend thing we should get a good bit of riding in.

can we please include a brief stop at Toppys?

It was a very tiny hole from a scrape thank you sir!!!

Yeah you SI guys get plannin - we'd love you to come up!

Some seriously good choices: Orongorongo/Ocean Beach, Cape Palliser/Ngawi/White Rock, Odlins Rd/Akatarawa Forest, gazillion gravel roads(eg Homewood rd etc) in good countryside in Wairarapa etc etc - think we can organise a fun long weekend for 3 or 4 days for ya easy!

I can get us booked in on Orongorongo Station & Joe has the Cape palliser/Ngawi contact & the Akatarawa permits are free but need to be sorted week or two in advance as they mail them out! The Akatarawa Forest should be done on a weekday to avoid the MXers/quads that scream round there at weekends.

And yes a trip to Martinborough a minimum of once (or MORE i would bet!) to have coffee at Toppy's will be a definite definite definite!!!!!!

And then later in the Spring we're all coming back down South for unfinished bizness!!!! (Denniston track to name but one!)
    Cheers, Dave

They are free in advance from Welly Regional Council, Upper Hutt office, good for 6 months and renewable for free!

I'll hopefully be rolling again by then and I'm still keen as mustard to get to the Norf Island after I failed miserably to get up there for the King Country Ride. No preferances for dates etc as long as it is after August (July and August are out for me) and it isnt Labour weekend. I'm thinking of using Labour weekend for the DB1k roll chart run.

    Watching with interest.

    Cheers R

if you southern nanas figure out when and for how long us northern nanas will figure out an itinerary to suit

we'll even form a committee and drink lots of latte's at Toppy's planning what happens and keeping a breast of the latest plans and then we'll have to pre-ride all the tracks to make sure they are all suitable - sounds like a lot of hard work - but for you guys - were prepared to sacrifice and do it....

it'll be like a good curry - you'll be able to choose from mild medium and hot.

there is so much good shit up here that if you could do a Friday Sat Sun Mon thingy it would be awesome.

there's one easy track we'll definitely take you on called cnut hill

I think there's several of them with the skills and balls to thrash up Cnut Hill no problem! I reckon Matt could get that big Africa up there too!
