    Brass update - last call

It looks like there are two (KB) adv groups heading down from Canterbury tomorrow. MickyBoy's lot will be very much in attack mode & if you have seen these guys go then you will know what I mean - amazing riders.
Meanwhile our more sedate group (a couple of 990's, Aslan & a certain unfit grey beard) will zig zag our way down through Sth Canterbury & the McKenzie country, so as to give Pooey a good look around, then staying in Kurow Pub tomorrow night (they let us park the bikes in the Lounge Bar).
Saturday we hit the Maniototo via Danseys & will ride as much of the Dunstan Trail as we can, then the Rally Sat night. Sunday there is option of hooking up with MickyBoy & do some real adv riding, ending up anywhere.
All very weather dependant but at least the snow warning has been lifted from 500m to 700m, even though we hope to be riding well above that a lot of the time.
    Any latecomers are welcome.

    Have fun

We expect a photos essay when you get back. Especially keen to see some pics of your exploits on the Dunstan

The Brothers, Menzies & Dunstan are all going to be very, very greasy - there could well be plenty of shots of bikes on their sides, especially mine. I should really be taking the DT but the heated grips on the XF won me over. Plus if we decide to come back via the West Coast it would be a long hard haul for the wee 230.

Good one mate. Have a great ride. Cheers
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!
