MNZ want trail riding to come under their umbrella

How do we prevent this?? We must fight this at all cost or trail rides will be as F&%$ed up as the racing codes.
Any idea's how to keep MNZ's filthy thieving hands off our trail rides?
I gave up racing in part due to MNZ's imcompetent handling of things, I don't want to give up trail riding also? What's next?

think they need the money to prop up the road racing, just think the number of trail riders out there, just using MR Motorcycles trail rides for eg.

number of riders anything from 200 to 500 sometimes more, get a slice of the money, impose more rules, the list goes on.

Don't quote me thou. I don't really know why or even if it is true.

yeah I can imagine all their benefits, can't think of any valid or persuasive reasons for how it will benefit us. Unless they will foot the bill for all the ST John ambo's that come calling every weekend! ..just wait till that service becomes user pays! "Do you have insurance sir?"

road racing gets F all from MNZ dispite the amount licence holders and memebers pay...

Besides this...I can commiserate with you guys totally...they will want the money...as huge money could be made for them.

If they want it...let MNZ organise thier own trail rides...find thier own volunteers...etc etc...see how keen they are!!
Clubs should just ignore them I think!!

and for the record...I love road racing!!

    MNZ and Trailrides.

Yes it would seem they are definitely money grabbing, they will insist that it is for the safety of all and I think they take $3 from every rider, these trail rides are already starting to creep up in price this will probably add another $5 to the average trail ride , the rides I have been on are already as safe as you like and it's up to the right hand to keep it that way, sure ya gonna get the odd hoon trying a dodgy passing manuevour but that'll happen anywhere, MNZ will only ride up prices and probably turn most of the already over worked organisers away, a lot of these rides are organised by mates of farmers and the money as everyone know's is between the farmer and the chosen charity, I tried to enter (for the first time in 10 years on a one day licence) the National VETERAN moto-cross championship last year in the manawatu and was told Na get a full licence $135.00 / so From memory $120 to enter the event /fuel up to north of palmy from welly/accomodation /food etc $450-$500 dollar weekend ! I don't ride competitive MX anymore but wanted to stay in touch with the great sport ,I didn't consider that licence promoting our sport at all. And this is how they will operate the trail rides MORE laws /rules /NOT NEGOTIATABLE.I may have some of these fees wrong but I think ya get the picture, More views would be great !
