Bloody pissed I'm missing this ride!!
I'm off to Christchurch for a week with my son on Sat. Damn it looks like fun!
First time you guys go a a real ride I gotta miss it! Grumble grumble
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Ok Guys - All talk aside - who is actualy going to be with us?
Dafyyd and I will be taking you through some of the most spectacular and challenging riding that you have ever done -and the forcast is for heavy showers. - which means up there in the Coromandel Ranges that it will piss down. usually hard and short but that is all it takes to change the wires from a 40 minuite loop into a four hour slog.
If you are coming- you will need trail food and water. Spare clutch lever if you havent got hand guards. tools for your bike and if you are on a two smoker a spare plug. Good tyres and a rain coat

Dafyyd and I will have towrope two way radios, first aid, fire extinguishers EPIRB and toilet paper.
after the wires, depending on the number of riders we will ride in one of two private areas that I have access to. We will be riding from 9am - 4.30ish
we will pass gas station between the areas so fuel is not an issue.

If you are a starter - you must PM me before 10 pm on Sat night to reserve your spot. We cant take more than 10- so first in gets dirty.

There will be a $5.00 gate charge for the Wires track.
Retired- just some guy with a few bikes......

Thanks for the headsup CW. Was just about to ask how tricky this ride likely to be in the wet. Keen on the technical stuff but am too unfit for lots of bike handling. Sigh.

Anyone keen to hitch a ride in the general auckland area? Would make it cheaper for gas! Poor apprentice like me will struggle to afford to head down! haha

Seconded! That track was much more fun and challenging than any trail ride I have done in a long time. All were great guys to hang out with for the day and ride with. Cheers cave weta and Dafydd!
