    Highway 16a-aka the Sandpit diversion

KTM Boy and Transit New Zealand have been negotiating for a while about a new toll road out west. This is the planned route.

For those of you that have been debating what kind of bike to buy notice that both 450's did tea kettle imitations on this trail.

Note that the video quality should improve once the video is fully processed by youtube

Once a few bikes have been through to define the track it should be awesome.

I don't mind being sprayed like that-the old git just needs to remember to stop occasionally to clean the camera

the one that follows on from tree hugger?
did the tree hugger today, plus the dotted bit, ended up by the old carpark i think, then did the blue right next to where we came out then came out opposite snake bite, only lost the track twice, is a really cool track tha one, did all the hills first go
did the new red one that off the farm loop with the tree logs near the start, really enjoyed that one too
i also survived the trail of doom

    was a good day
we may just go where no ones been

Ta, that should make a change from the dead forest and will be a good short loop using either Logans run or the Bogan for the trip back and then the Convict or Criminal. How lost am I going to get??

I'll try it out this weekend.

    PS. good video Keith, Ta!

Had a quiet ride thru the 16A today, not bad apart from getting mildy lost...those bloody white frondy grassy bushes all look the same to me, I though it would be a bit more technical but apart from the one sharp bank to get up it was all straightforward.
Mind you, there's heaps of traction out there now, the sand is well and truly soaked thru, might be a bit different in summer.
Makes a good loop with the Bogan tho, all we need now is a good red trail fom the old carpark to the big dipper and then I can almost get the whole way round on one colour.....

    KTMboy, get that chainsaw out!
