Mate of mine has had some interesting experences regarding the whole "learners exemption to ride larger bike" thing.

Could be worth a read: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...d.php?t=100468

Yeah thats pretty weird. They seem to make up their minds as they go along, from the openly-permissive to the absurdly-restrictive.

Like, I was on an exemption (650cc on 6L and 6R) for a whole year, and they wouldn't let me do my full test on the 650.. Like, wtf is up with that ?

And my exemption expired before my 6 months on my 6L was even up? WTF? There were lots and lots of gaps in just simple logic from them, so how they managed to come up with any policy based on logic or science baffles me.

I'm glad the whole thing is over. I really felt like I had to suck their arse hard or things would go bad. Very stressful.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
