    Is white really that bad?

    Hey

Just filing through some threads and it seems to me that alot of people think getting a white paint job is a bad idea..

I have a zxr250 that needs a respray I was thinking about getting it done white but I might be starting to change my mind..

So is white really that bad?

    There's nothin' wrong with white!

I also own a white bike (RSVR) and have noticed an increase in the number of bikes coming out in this fine colour. In fact, I even started a thread about it:

Just take the 848, for example.

Here are a few of the 08/09 models to prove my point:

So, what's the verdict. Is white the new black?

Nothing wrong with white, I quite like it.

It is very easy to dress up a white bike with a few decals or pinstrips (white is a bit of a blank canvis in my mind)

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

It's not a colour, it's an absence of colour!

One would assume that if a white helmet is more noticeable to other road users then, a white bike would also make you more visible. I would like to point out however,.... thats just my logical conclusion, not necassarily a fact.
I was passed by some dude on what looked like a brand new Ducati 696 on the Northern motorway not too long ago. The white version...... it looked friggin mean as !!!! apparently not as fast as the red one, i've heard.

Hmmmm - I have formed an opinion on white as a bike colour over the years - few can pull it off - Speed/Street triple can, occasional HD, a random euro bike, and an occasional Jap one.

Many, many can not yet some dork in marketing gives them the tick - just check out a white M109R - but bring a paper bag.

You do run the risk of looking like you have mounted a giant sperm .........
