Bugger, i think, as the disco lights flick on – And its not the first time i've been pinged by a copper hiding behind a hill. So i slink along, and pull over to await the inevitable.

1min... 2mins... 5mins. Guess he's not coming back! Sweet time to bugger off before my luck changes!

I've never been 'flashed' like that before. Is this a gentle warning to pull your head in? Or just a coincidence?

I do it a lot - mostly though it's just a flash of the headlights cos if I use the red'n'blues people tend to do as you did - pull over and wait...

My worst moments are when I try to shift up into 7th gear....and it won't go coz its only got 6...then I drop my eyes to the speedo and say.."SHIT!!" and shut 'er down quick...that happens more often than I would like...comes of monitioring the tach, not the speedo (you have to drop your eyes further to see the speedo) ...but the difference between 5th and 6th at a given rpm is 10km/hr - enough to get you into the shit....
